Building a single skin concrete out house at the moment. Built up to the level of the DPC and laid that on 10 mm bed of mortar. Weather turned and I had to stop there. Its gonna be a few days until i lay any more blocks - will it be a problem, i.e. laying above the DPC when the mortar under it has gone off? I'll lay another 10 mm bed of mortat on top of the dpc to bed the next course in, but wonder if it the bed directly under the dpc will be a weak point as there was no weight on top of it whilst the mortar was curing.

Thoughts???

If it's only a single-skin outhouse, it wouldnt be a problem, though the joint will look very thick.
If you're that concerned, why not just chisel off the mortar and start again?
