I want to hang some terrariums in bulb housings outside hanging from my pergola. The bulb kit comes with a string to hang it. But my concern is that in strong winds with the rope the bulb will fly around too much and the plant inside may fall apart. I'm thinking the long the hanging string then the more the bulb will swing about right? so could I hang a solid rod to bring it down and then use a much shorter string hence creating a very small swing area?
