The tape has blown due to movement.Proper way to repair is to cut out the blown tape area and stick a new piece of tape in there and feather out with filler. You may be able to wet the tape and peel back to get some filler under it and then press the tape back in to the corner and then fill over the top to hide the tape.Last option just cut it out and fill where the tape is removed but might get cracking in the future
Yes it turned out to be metal. I'm confused on how to fix it, do I snip a few millimetres (using tin snips?) off the metal tape to make them straight again and go over them with something like pollyfilla?
Unusual for metal in internal corners as it is made for external corners..Some how you need to cut through it without lifting it any more otherwise you will end up ripping the lot off and starting again.A dremil is ideal as you can cut through the metal without disturbing it further up.I would just fill the area you cut out in this case.Easi-fil is great but any powdered filler will do the job
