burner switches off

hi guys = had a hotpoint 60cm 4 burner gas hob fitted...one of the burners has a uneven flame around it and flares out in some places...after a minute or so the burner goes off...im assuming thats the saftey cut out to that particilar burner. The other 3 burners working perfctly...any ideas before i call the hotpoint helpline...read their trouble shooting guide.....suggesting clog or blocked gas in burner....cheers..

Assuming the hob is brand new, it will be under guarantee. Get Hotpoint to send an engineer out, the hob is faulty.

yeh brand new...got a can of compressed air..might try that first..to see if it clears any debris or blockage...need the hob cant be without it..if not then ill call hotpoint.

Dont fiddle with it.

1, its illegal, and 2. you'll invalidate the guarantee.
