Hi - we have just discovered a burst mains water pipe at my office. It took some finding, we had to remove a floor and get through the concrete below to find it but we managed to get to it first time (lucky). The pipe is about 30mm (1/14 inch) in diameter and appears to be steel. There is a gash about 3/4 inch long in the pipe.
Can anybody tell me the best method for repairing this. Will I have to cut the pipe or is there an easier method.

Thanks in advance
Col
