If you mean the 2392 then that depends on what you know already.
The 2392 is relatively simple and you may not actually learn anything from it if you've already got a reasonable understanding of basic testing.
If you've never tested before then I'd say you definitely need to take the 2392, at the very least.
Quite a few colleges that teach 2391 won't let you take the course before you take 2382-10. They are totally different courses - in that 2382 is an open book 60 question multiple choice focusing on the 17th edition, whereas 2391 focuses on the GN 8 (Inspection and Testing) which has both practical and written (closed book) exams. Having taken both, the discipline of learning the 17th edition helped me with 2391.
2392 is subordinate to the 2391 and is really only an introduction.
Have done the 2382 last year and done very well. I may just be panicking about the 2391 course. Just want to maximise my chances of passing first time.
