Cable current carrying capacity

can u chaps tell me a rough rule of thumb guide to current carrying capacity of 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10mm i understand there is a lot of factors that need to be considered but i am just looking for a rough estimate that u would use ?

it's not a simple as "a 1.5 cable can take 16A"..

the different types of cables take different currents for a start..

T+E, armoured, tri-rated etc all have different maximum current values for a given size.

and thats before any factors have been applied..
