The boiler is a Vaillant combi Turbomax Vuw connected to the mains via an isolator switch fused with a 3A.

I'm going to fit a Honeywell wireless T3R.

Is it acceptable to use 0.5 3core cable for a cable run of about 2m?

I would have thought it would need to be 0.75mm squared, as the boiler mi’s usually ask for that and 4/5 core. What do you plan to use as the switch live? Don’t know why you’d think plasterers would know the answer?

As @CBW states, you'll need a 4 core minimum.
It is no longer acceptable, under current regs, to oversleeve a green/yellow wire in brown, for it to be a switched live.

I got some 90° 0.75 4 core to connect the Honeywell. I found in the Vaillant manual that at least 0.75 should be used.

The Honeywell seems to be working well. Thanks All!

Does anyone know how I can move this post to the Plumbing section?
