Cable for hot water cylinder

Are you competant to be doing this work?
I an not connecting any thing up just wanted to know what would be the best option as the electrician is coming to do second fix on other wiringand cu and i had not thought about the supply, still stud work in the airing cupboard no board yet, what would be the best option for cable i surpose is will be a 3kw element in tank, if this helps

If the electrician is coming to do the work then let him choose the size of cable for the install as it will be his name on the certificate. That is what you are paying him for !
