but how many of us really do still carry out this practice? so often it must hard to avoid when for example a shower circuit has to be added; or a ring has to be extended to supply a new conservatory.

not many customers like to see mini trunking in their newly decorated houses.

tough.. that's the option..
surface, chased into a wall or run in the floor void, or not installed at all..

you CANNOT run a cable in a brick wall cavity without securing it to the walls..

It is not even considered as an option.
