Hi, new to the forum. have just had some wiring done, & the electrician has run ring main cable from the base of a socket, on an inside wall along the top of the skirting board. Is this permissable?

From a safety or regulations POV, or an æsthetic one?
From a regs POV, æsthetically it looks crap, but most is hidden by bedside unit
clipped direct, absolutely ok.. as you say, looks carp though..

Just don't drop pointed scissors or other sharp objects down behind the bedside unit.
