Calling Seco, Aqualisa Aquastream service/filter clean

The drip appears to be on the cold feed side. I.E. if I turn the cold iso off then no drips from the handset. Is this via the oring on the back of the cartridge or is it the main gasket where this is fed from? As unfortunately when they supplied me my spares they did not include the o ring

I spoke to my friend george at the showerdoc and mentioned your fault.
he also suspects the o ring at the rear of cartridge.
Poss you have damaged the gasket on the front if isolating cold stops it. now you mention the cold stops it.
gasket about £3
If it was the o ring it would be both supplies that cause it.

The o ring useally only comes as part of a new cartridge, bit silly.
so i would try to locate one myself or again see if aqualisa would kindly send one.

PS another helpful post i found for you.

I spoke to a very helpful guy called Paul at Aqualisa's technical department (01959 560000). They informed me that on early versions of the Mk2 Aquastream, it is possible that when the torx screws that hold the cartridge are tightened, the rubber seal can move slightly and this can cause the shower to drip from the shower head.

Their solution was to superglue the rubber seal to the cartridge unit and then fix it in place - seems to have solved the problem for me.

Yep saw that post as well. I do have packs of o rings so will see if I can get one similar. Failing that then another call to to Aqualisa. The Gainsborough diplomat apparently is the same and can be got for £175 so could be another option. I will take it apart again and give the o ring a shot.

Cheers for your help

Just to keep everyone updated. Apparently the o ring at the back is for the hot, so the gasket that has the crescent shaped gauze is responsible for the cold so will have another go at this one.

Cheers

All fine :D took the gasket out again and greased with black swan plumbing grease purged system and all good. Thanks for sticking with me.

Last thing needed on this is carbon brushes, not much meat left on them armature looks fine though.
