Hi Guys, can any one help me. I've just rented a barn converted about 20 years ago and fitted with a Camri Combi Oil burner model number CAM81. It works fine but is constantly hot and is making the kitchen where its located very hot as a result of keeping the integrated water tank up to temperature constantly. As a result its burning shed loads of oil. It has two switches on the front one on the left is switched up and the one on the right is switched down. Does anybody know if these are the correct positions as I have no info on the boiler, and does it sound right that the water should be kept constantly hot and not just heated on demand???????

Also the timer control works fine for the heating but appears to have no effect on the water temp. Any advice welcome.

Sounds like you have a "CAMRAY" Economy Combi boiler, it is normal for any oil fired combi to remain hot at all times as unlike a Gas combi an oil version cannot supply heat instantly so a heat store has to be maintained. From memory the two switches on the front are Left: ON/OFF Right Summmer/Winter. hope that helps??
