Long story short, after a disaster roof job last year which led to insane humidity and airflow problems in the house, finally found someone who installed over fascia vents in my roofspace. At the time, it brought my house to operating around 80% correctly but he had found a lot of things installed incorrectly or not at all, including eaves support trays not being installed.
I couldn't afford a re-roof at the time but could a few weeks ago. Got the same guy out. He's done a fab job and literally by the book. Only problem...I am not getting airflow (or very little) from the over fascias and have humidity in the loft and house has to be managed by dehumidifier 100% of the time (trickle vents don't work - I have deduced I have negative pressure in the house). I also have a few circular soffits installed and feel like the airflow that I am getting is from the limited circular soffits. Insulation isnt blocking as can see daylight where the circular soffits are installed and have a roll tray thats been installed to keep the insulation from blocking.
Is it possible that the eaves support trays can block over fascia vents? This is technically the only change at the eaves from the previous installation. From the outside, they appear to be installed 100% correctly. I had someone around just now who cant find an issue either though we did not lift the first course of tiles as neither of us are roofers and feel comfortable doing it (though he does know his stuff to advise). Unfortunately its a very calm day so cant really feel that not much is coming up via the eaves. When I was in the loft the other day when it was super windy, there was a cyclone at the ridge (dry ridge) and not much of anything at the eaves.
Thoughts??
