Can i paint on these wall?

Hi guys

Can i paint straight on these walls, ive stripped the old paper and i will fill ( a lot) of holes and scuffs

I was going to just go white emulsion then my colour, can i do that?

Theres a few areas like this

You can paint over them but TBH you will get a better finish if you line the walls first.

I'd recommend Toupret powder fillers and for the small holes Toupret Redlite.

You will need to thoroughly wash or sand the walls to remove all traces of wallpaper paste first though.

Thanks, ive used easy filler so far and will sand down on monday, probs put a coat of white and see what they look like.
Im hoping to avoid lining paper if poss

Fair enough.

Use dilute white and then full fat white to make sure that the filler doesn't "grin". Easyfill is normally ok though in that respect though.
