can i use a wood preserver on my raised bed

Hi all,

making a quick cheap raised bed. the wood im using is scrap, but isnt treated. can i use wood preserver (as per below) or will it leach into the veg and be toxic? im also planning on lining the wood with rubble bags where it make contact with soil.

also is there a difference between the two products below?

Yes, but non pressure treated timber rots quickly (IME) so may be worth just using the scrap untreated, or using pre treated timber.

I wouldn't worry about it leaching into the veg - I've never heard of that being a problem, especially if you're lining it.
