Hi, I have a set of brand new basin/sink taps.

I have just bought a bath and was wondering if I can attach the sink taps to the bath or if I have to buy taps specifically for a bath?

Is there a difference between sink and bath taps?

Thanks

Matt

Bath taps generally have bigger bores so give more flow. Not so important if you have high pressure H & C eg if you're on a combi boiler.

Spouts on bath taps often stick forward further so check yours for that.

Sink taps also have different size threads 1/2 bsp (bath 3/4 bsp) so if you wish to use them you will have to change the tap connecters / flexi hoses.
Be aware that the actual bath bore holes will be larger and may give you problems if you do not use 1/2 in bsp top hat washers. These will screw onto the tap after you have fitted the tap through the hole and will hold them steady.
You may find the sink taps look a bit odd on a bath though
