I'm thinking of removing a wall between kitchen and dining room in a 1950s semi, I'm not sue if the wall in question continues upstairs to form the bedroom/bathroom wall though.... If I take the kitchen wall down would I need to insert lintels or supports? Do I need to advise building control?

If it's made of brick and the same brick wall continues upstairs then you cannot remove it. Even if the brick wall doesn't continue upstairs it might still be supporting something.

Get a structural engineers report before you touch it.

I think it is made of brick.... Could I not even cut a double door in maybe if I add a beam in? Ill have to get a pro into ad use I think
