Any one know who you get to check over a central heating installation to ensure it's been done to standard??

Just need to be sure before i put down my oak floor as theres a lot of push fit tee pieces and loops of plastic pipe from the main feed pipe to the rads. not straight lines pinned to the joists ( this may be done right i'm not sure it just looks a bit shabby and rushed) they just seems to spiral from the main feed to the rads like a curly fry's maybe 600mm-800mm of pipe

Thanks

ask them to fit the pipe clips then.

you accepted the job as finished and payed them didn't you ?

I only came on this forum for some help!!! not sarcasim.

I did'nt realise it was common practise to pull back all of your carpets and rip up the floor boards after a plumbers had finished a job. As i mentioned i only happened to stumbe upon the plumbing whilst doing something else weeks after the installation i was'nt standing over them when they fitted it.

That reminds me i'd better tear out my new bathroom to check that's been installed correctly and rip out my new kitchen to make sure the correct screws were used. Silly Silly man

well then you've been using the system and not had no problems.

not weeks later cause all the pipes are not in straight lines you wanna start getting people in to check their work.

think you need to get out more, your the one picking holes in peoples work.

try consulting the installers if you have a problem not go behind their backs.
trade needs customers like you.

Just cause i've had no problems in 2 weeks doesn't mean i wont at all, And just cause the works hidden it does'nt mean work should be done to a poor standard. Surley it's about customer satisfaction and giving the customer what they want not just making a fast wedge of cash.

And i haven't picked holes in anyones work i just wanted to be sure it was done top a certain standard. I can't believe that's an unreasonable thing to ask

Funny as soon as someone mentions getting someone elses work checked over tradesmen get all arsey. Maybe quick and messy is the easiest option as the work is all hidden under the floor anyway. Builders dont seem to mind having to have their work checked by the buildings regs .

"You need to get out more". Did you really put that.... how old are you 15????. No you can't play it's my football and i'm taking it with me.

Again.... I came on here for some help but it seams as though your only capable of having a twine at me so i'm going to go out... ooo look at me going out again i should really stop in more.

no system you can guarentee against having no problems.

plastic pipe will always look shoddy when under floors if its clipped or not.
it don't run in straight lines and has long sweeping bends.
surely you knew it was plastic pipe being installed ?

yes but you want to get someone in to check their work.
and you say you trust them.

probably cause the snidey customer wants to do it behind the installers back then come on here and slag them off.

thats only what the bco can see.

I'm not coming on here and going behind anyones back and as for slagging them off all i said was it looked a bit rushed and messy hardly slagging is it??. I asked them and they told me it was correct but i've since sppoke to other people who say it's not so there begings to whole is it or isn't it right query and that's why i came on here as i was lead to believe there were some reputable plumbers here with good advice on here

You just seem to have gone of half cocked without knowing the full information making assumptions

To be honest if it was done incorrect are you trying to tell me they would have said "Yeah we did do a ****e job cause we could'nt be arsed and had to get to another job..soz about that well do it right for ya now mister i'll just go get me tools".

show us some pics and let people on here see what the mess is.

we know nothing on what you payed for the job
was it quoted that they would be using plastic ?
so much you haven't told us.
i'm not having a go at you it maybe a mess
but theirs two sides to every story.
