Can't control my heating

Would any of you wonderful people be able to help.
I can't control the temperature on my heating its just full on. Could it be a faulty valve near the tank or a faulty thermostat?

could be yes or could be no, we dont have crystal balls, post pics of your boiler and controls if you want someone to advise
