In August I ordered some vinyl sheet flooring from a shop in Essex, and they have failed to get it in stock, and never communicated it to me either. So I cancelled last week, and then found the floor online for £70 less (I had paid £172) and it is a 4mx2.35m piece, rather than 3mx2.35m, so I will have left over for the WC too (renovating next year). Shop was going to charge £132 to fit (£40 fit, £72 ply, £20 silicone).

I've contacted some fitters, but they are all busy. Seems they are not interested in fit only jobs.

So, how hard is it to DIY this? The room is L shaped, with the shower taking up one corner. Then has a basin unit (rectangular vanity unit) and a toilet. 2.35m wide, 2.2m to the door.

My advice is to fit the pan on the flooring rather than try and cut around it same with the plinth on the vanity unit.

Not that difficult, I laid a much larger section in my kitchen a month or two back. Be aware it tears very easily and needs a firm flat surface - a poor surface will show through. It is best laid fully under where possible, rather than cutting around - so expect to lift the toilet, vanity and remove skirting boards to install under.

If your not taking the pan out, fold it back tight up against the pan and using a sharp Stanley knife cut right back to the edge and then ease it round the pan by putting lots of little cuts around the pan.
I use a hook blade to fit vinyl and either vinyl spray glue or if it is a felt backed vinyl just use normal spray glue.
Plenty of you tube videos, I fit the stuff as I have a carpet and flooring shop and it has been extremely difficult getting stock in over the last few months
