I've tried cleaning all around our dishwasher.
There seems to be loads of black grime - I would describe as fungus like.
It does wipe off - but trying to get off from the trays seems to be an impossible task that will take hours and hours.

I've cleaned all pipers and other places - the black grime had build up.
I'm guessing it's fungus, because it just keeps coming back.

Is there some sort of washing solution that we can use?

I've tried using a well known brand cleaner, you turn it upside down and run the dishwasher.
The last time I tried, it looked as if half the solution was still in there.
So I ran the dishwasher AGAIN. It made no difference.

Thanks.

Get something like a mr muscle spray cleaner, spray it on and leave it 5-10 minutes.
Use one of those sponges with a plastic scourer on one side, wet it and use elbow grease to scrub it off.

If you don't regularly clean it, it will get lots of dirt on it and it will take a long time to clean, but regular cleaning will take less.

Oh
Isn't there a magic cleaner of some kind that gets rid of this muck?

Am I right in saying it is fungus?

You can clean and clean - but in many crevices... it remins.
If it is fungus... then it just grows again.

Sure there has to be a better solution?

Paint on bleach with a paint brush leave it a couple of hours full wash cycle no dishes ......you might need to do it again......that should do the trick even on the plastic !

I was thinking of bleach
Wasn't sure how safe it would be
I just thought this would be a know problem suffered by many and solutions to fix were out there
