Plugged a new USB stick into my PC (Win 7) and see notice pop up saying that drivers installing etc and that it was successful but when I look in Explorer, I can't see it. Have tried refreshing, new Explorer but to no avail.
Can see it as a USB storage device under Device Manager and done the usual uninstalling and re-installing of drivers which works but still can't see it in Explorer.
Tried restarting the PC and tried different USB sockets but still get the same problem.
Pretty sure I've had this problem before with another USB memory stick in the past but can't remember how I fixed it.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Chances are that its assigned a drive that's something that's already in use.
To sort that follow these steps.

Start
Control panel
Administrative tools

Or paste this into Windows Explorer address bar "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools" (without the quotes)

Then "Computer Management"
Then "Storage" section and "Disk Management".

Find your USB drive in the bottom middle window.
RMB select it and choose "Change drive letters and paths", choose an available drive letter.
Close it.
Open Windows Explorer, find your drive.

Come back and let us know if that sorted it or not.
