We get a windfall tax, they get a windfall tax, because of the trade deficit, our windfall will be bigger. Some prices will increase until until cheaper sources found, foodstuffs mainly, that might have higher tariffs - not good for Ireland).
Tariffs will average out at about 3%, currency exchange rate fluctuations are bigger than that.
It really will be no more than a short term inconvenience, although French fishing boats bumping into Navy gunboats might find it a little bit more than inconvenient.
