Are cap blocks required to meet code on a block foundation? If so do you have to drill into them to set sill bolts? Seems like a lot of extra work. I am in North Carolina. Thanks

I do not know if you realise it but you are posting on a British that is a board predominantly for these sort of questions but within Great Britain?
There is a possibility that someone on the board may be well enough versed in Building practices in your part of the world to make a meaningful comment, that you can relay on?
