Hello all,

I have a car stereo, one of those ones you can clip in and clip out when you leave car.
For some reason for last few weeks it will only work if I press it gently, if I take my finger off it looses power? why could this be? any idea how I could fix it.
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks!

Sounds like you have a bad connection where it clips into it's housing.

Thanks, is that easy to fix? where could I take it to be repaired?

Might just be a case of cleaning the contact strips. How old is this stereo? I thought pull out stereos were no longer made.

Thanks, the car stereo shop said it could be a joint or a switch. Its about 3 years old now. its a Sonichi SB50 Digital Radio.

Isn't that a Halford's cheapie? Can you provide photos of the rear of the radio and the cage showing the connectors?

Its a Halfords, not sure if its a cheapie as cost me over £100.00 ... Ill try and get some pics. Thanks

How can I get a new ariel for this? just the metal part that would work with this SB50?

Is this the aerial for the radio itself or for the car that you need? What's the car? Photos please
