I have a lovely slate floor in our hall which due to kids is going to have to be covered with something a bit more bump resistant. I do not want to ruin the slate but cover it with carpet. It is relatively uneven as it is natural but in general there are no real high spots. Would a chipboard cover do and if so how would I join the chipboard. The Hall is 5m x 5m
Thanks

a good quality underlay should do the trick if you haven't got any high spots.
