Carpet tiles

Hi, laying carpet tiles in my sons office (100m2 approx). I plan to use tackifier but wonder what to do about lifting existing carpet tiles up regarding adhesive already down. What is best method of removal or is it ok to use tackifier over top of it?

Hard graft is they are well and truely stuck! a decent hand scrapper and a free day!
