I assume most builders or experienced tradesman are not short of work - so just out of interest - is dealing with cashflow your biggest headache?

For the work I was paying for I paid on completion of milestones as the job progressed.

nop . the customer pays for ALL materials, down to the last screw as i’m buying them.
if they don’t want to pay the labour cost at the end , which has not happened yet, then at least i’m only out of pocket for the time i’ve wasted.
I ask for ‘wages’ part way to pay labourers if they’re needed. I don’t get paid until the invoice is in or the job is complete.
if you don’t like it find someone else.
