Hi, just a quick question please? Will a normal plastic downpipe bracket be ok to support a short section of cast iron down pipe about 2 feet high as I had to cut through the original bracket to fit a rainwater diverter! Thanks for your help?

I doubt it would fit round the pipe, I would make one up with a bit of flats aluminium and spray it black.
