That's interesting. I recall there was talk of doing something similar to introduce an insect to deal with the UK's knotweed problem.

Reminds me of the Aussies introducing the cane toad to control a beetle that sat so high on the sugar cane that the toads could not reach them.

Now they are a massive problem

Yeah, we laugh at those people on Pacific islands throwing spears and helicopters, but they will probably have the last laugh ... if their island is not swamping by rising sea levels...

I know from experience. I had a toad wallet.
I did a job for a fella in Gunalda Curra,
He paid me by cheque, I put the cheque in my wallet and the bloody thing bounced.
