Quick question. Should the external cavity wall dpc be above, below or at the same level as the internal floor? Just sorting out a patio that is above DPC level on a 1930s house where the existing DPC is well below the internal floor level, and wondering if it would be easier to install a new DPC at a higher level.

Thanks.

If the floor is timber, the DPC will be lower.

For concrete floors, DPC is the same.

A new DPC at a higher level is a waste of time unless it's a tray.

If the cavity is clear, it don't matter where the external DPC is.
