An old chestnut I guess.............................is a house to be avoided if it has undergone this? Best to get a FULL survey done if the house has had this done to it?
 
Not all houses are suitable for CWI. Sometimes it's the poor bricks on the external skin, or perhaps the ties covered in mortar.

Surveyors were supposed to check for this but not all did.

Personally, I wouldn't buy a house with CWI - the cavity was originally there for a reason.
