Hi,

We live in SW London, in a timber framed newly built home (2005) with a green roof.
Back in 2007 when we moved in, heavy rainfall caused a damp patch in our ground floor lounge where the green roof above meets the cedar cladded wall of the first floor.
As the building was new, we called the original builders who filled a couple of gaps in the cladding that seemed to fix the problem.
Recently, however, the storms caused the end most ridge tile directly above that original leak to fly away and as we had to wait for the wind and rain to stop to get it fixed, more water seeped through in that same spot causing further staining. We had the tile fixed a couple of weeks ago, which I hoped would stop further staining but heavy rainfall yesterday seems to have brought the problem back and the stain is getting wider.

There's no way I'm going to be able to detect where the leak is actually coming from myself so I need the help of a specialist. My problem is, who do I call? I don't think it's a roof leak now that the tile has been repaired and it could be either a wall leak (rain water penetrating inside the cladding when the wind angles it a certain way) or a green roof leak, or something I haven't thought of. So I'm at a total loss.
I don't want to end up calling companies who will charge me a fortune for a finding out about something they potentially have no experience of.

Could anyone point me in the right direction?
Any green roof/timber frames/rain leaks specialists in London on this forum maybe?
Any sort of help would be appreciated.

Thanks.
