Hi All.
I've recently bought a house (and been reading this forum for quite a while which has been very helpful). One of my problems is a day or 2 after it rains the cellar floor becomes damp along the external walls. Last month it rained heavily for a weekend and it resulted in about half an inch of standing water in there.

Is this likely to be coming through the brickwalls of the cellar, or being absorbed through the concrete floor?

Thanks
Simon.

After a lot of rain I've now got water standing in there again. Has anyone got suggestions on a cure (afer it has dryed out)

Thanks.

Wellies and a bucket? :D

only sensible solution if youve got floods of water coming in would be to tank it.
