Hi, my heating system does not work, the boiler fires up and heats the water only. If the room stat is turned up to induce the heating to come on nothing happens, the stat is functioning. If the Honeywell Sundial Y valve is manually moved to the other position the heating comes on. Am I right in saying then it is the motorised Y valve and therefore needs replacing?

i assume you've turned it on at the programmer.

if the motor in the valve is getting power & not turning then a new motor is required.

Yes, constant switched on for C/H and stat on max - boiler not firing up no C/H but checked supply and both S Wires live now, the only way to get heating to work is to manually activate valve. Does this suggest valve US?
