hi there

can anyone out there help.
I have a system boiler with central heating.
the problem is that even though the central heating is turned off/temp control turned down the radiators still get hot. have had to turn each radiator off at the radiators valve but now keep getting air in the system
noisy water rushing through pipes and knocking pipes hence causing the boiler to cut out.... any ideas please....

hi
yeah h/w is set on timer and c/h is set to off position.
are the 3 port valves difficult to change.

I need to know what make your boiler is. What make your 3 port valve is. And I need to know if you have a demand for your hotwater when your heating comes on. Or is it on when you have no demand.

hi
ok the boiler is a glow worm economy plus 40f
the 3 port valve has a code bgmvsp-23
and not sue
re what you mean by demand sorry. when the heating is on we do get hot water.

hi nath just realised how late it is

evening see if your about.
again thankyou

steve

hi nath

sorry a bit late but as for the demand.
I can choose to have the c/h and h/w
however when I choose h/w only c/h still works
not sure if it works the other way round ie c/h with no h/w
I do find I get a lot of air in the pipes which cut out the boiler
unless I have at least one radiator on...(in this weather. phew)

I have uploaded a couple of photos to my album if that helps any.
new to this site still learning.
