Central heating pump (lost the central screw)

Hi I lost the bleeding screw off front of heating pump grundos .can I still put heating on if screw missing.its a gravity fed system back boiler.many thanks . waiting for new screw not here till Tuesday.thank you .

Personally I would say to wait, as a small amount of water comes out and often when the screw isn’t there too, so you may lose quite a bit of water but the float valve will still top the cistern up.
