Hi out there

I recently fitted a new boiler in my home. I have a conventional system; water tank in the attic, cylinder in the airing cupboard and wall mounted boiler in the kitchen. There are no trvs just a room thermostat mounted in the hall.

The problem is with the heating. When I click the stat the boiler fires and the rads get hot. The stat then opens and the boiler shuts down but will not fire again unless I tweak the stat, by which time the rads are nearly cold. The stat never gave trouble with the old boiler, so could it have gone faulty, or am I missing something obvious?

Thanks for any hints.
