At the moment, mine is on a fused connection unit (FCU) with non-compliant RCD protection, it does not have the correct BS number. The RCD is built into the UPS supply, and other items from the same UPS supply have type A RCD sockets. Moving the central heating to a plug and socket, means with an extended lost of grid supply, it would be easy to unplug and power from a generator or other 230 volt AC supply, but running from a FCU means don't need to add RCD protection, I am leaning towards staying with the existing set-up, it has a 2023 compliance certificate which I would not be able to raise myself, and we don't get that many power cuts.

But with the EV, we are seeing cars which double as a power supply, and to be able to keep heating running by simply plugging it into the car, seems a good idea.

But for years central heating systems have been supplied from a FCU, mainly to stop people unplugging the heating to charge their phone, but one of these

can stop anyone unplugging the central heating, so that is a poor excuse.

What does it state in the mi’s (manufacturers instructions)?
