I wonder if anyone can help. My old central heating timer switch for the Glow worm Compact 100e is faulty. This timer switch controls the central heating only, so I presume a single channel. I want to replace it with a better looking and easier to control Drayton Lifestyle LP711 single channel Timeswitch. My problem is the old time switch has 4 wires from it, N,L, COM & ON. The manual for the new time switch seems to require N,L,COM, OFF & ON, how do I connect the new one? I am not an electrician, but I know some of you are. I thought this would not be too difficult to do. So if any of you could help I would be truly thankful.
I don’t know how to create links on Diynot, but you can copy and paste these links into your address bar. They will take you to the manuals of the time switches. Oh, in the preview it changed them to links.
On page 4, diagram 2 is my old glow worm switch, page 41 diagram 14.28 is the wiring to it. Thanks again, and Merry Xmas to everyone

The timeswitch doesn't "require" the extra OFF connction, it simply provides it as certain systems need it. Just connect up L N COM and ON as before.
