Hi all,

We recently moved house and are trying to get our head around all the new noises :)

Everything works as it should except every few days of CH use the boiler trips out (a small trip switch under the cover). The previous owner said 'it happens' and is because the rads use microbore pipe!

This sounds complete rubbish to me so i'm hoping for some of your opinions....

We do hear a lot of air gurgling through the system when the CH is on, and every now and then the pump sounds like someone is using a hammer drill on a wall, but there is no air in any of the rads when i try and bleed them.

Anyone have any ideas? It is a standard vented system approx 15 years old.

Thanks.

Sounds like air in the pump prevents adequate flow which overheats the boiler.
