We have a Keston C40 boiler.

We have hot water, but no central heating.

We call in someone to look at the system, he advised the boiler is ok and doing what it is meant to, which with my little understanding and reading the manual it does..... He looked for the diverter valve and could only find one, he stated there is a second one somewhere and wanted to start lifting floor boards etc......

I have read a bit about diverter valves, could our one diverter valve be a dual one, move one way for water, the other way for heating and a mid point for both??? or would there definately be two?

How do I identifty if the valve is a dual one....... or have I totally got the wrong end of the stick

Any guidance would be greatfully recieved

Thanks

Does the motorised valve look anything like this one with 3 connections.

One is the feed of heated water from the boiler, the other 2 go to the DHW and heating circuits.

Thanks for your reply,

No the valve sits in line and only has two connectors, which I guess, an inlet and outlet..... if I had thought about it indicates it's a single valve rather than a double!!

Where would the heating diverter valve be positioned? is there an easy way of finding it?

Thanks

So you have a zone valve.

Another zone would useally be on a T section of pipe between pump and hw zone valve.
