Hi hope someone can help, I have a RC5 and WR1 receiver heating system, everything's been fine but all of a sudden the heating had just come on and won't switch off, on tried evrything from checking the battery's and resetting the settings, I just can't seem to switch the heating off!!.its roasting in this house plus my had bill is guna be humongous!!!.the only way I can switch it all off if is I switch the boiler off altogether and that means no hot water!!!.plz plz can someone help??jazz.x

it could be something to do with the big white box on the wall that you are keeping the make and model secret from the rest of us

disconnect all the external controls i.e. programmer room thermostat etc and if it still does it then it is the boiler at fault if that cures it then the controls are at fault then come back and let us know how you got on

Here's a picture of the bolier, iv turned the central heating knob to zero now, so I can still get hot water, but if you can see the WR1 has a red light continually on indicating alarm????

Hi iv done all that, but still the red light remains on the WR1 indicating alarm in red??.iv even put new batteries in the RC5 and followed the institution leaflet, but still no joy!!.
Cheers
Jazz
