from another post I read somewhere it seems that the metal contacts in the key fob can become corroded although it can't be seen..try cleaning the contacts.

A couple of ways to clean, I'm told. Either run a lead/graphite pencil over them or try some wd40 on a cotton bud...allow to dry.

Take it apart and carfully examin the circuit board for dry solder joints, use a watchmakers eyeglass, if dry joint found a touch with soldering iron (fine tip) should get it going again.
I have had this problem with a Peugeot key fob.

ps. don't type in capitals, it's considered rude (shouting)
