I have a replacement AEG ceramic hob, 41 amp, and I'm struggling with the electrical connection diagram. I have 6mm 47 amp cable, but the diagram suggests that I should connect the cable to 2 live terminals on the hob. How do I do this???

If there are two live terminals then link them together with a piece of the 6mm² wire and connect the neutral and earth as per normal. Make sure you sleeve the earth with green/yellow sleeving and do the connections up tightly.
