Can someone help. I have a valliant combination boiler, my CH works fine, however when I turn on the HW tap, the boiler fires up but I get no HW. Help please.

Vaillant have made a lot of different boilers over the last 25 years!
If you told us which one you have then it would be easier for us to try to help you!
It could be the diverter valve! What are you going to do now?

The serial number on the boiler is VCW-Sine 18T3WFH.
I have called a plumber and he is coming round on Sat to check it out

It sounds like the diverter is failed or seized up.
A boiler engineer would be better than a plumber!
Make sure he understands the boiler! Ask him to show you the diverter valve! Its the silver lump at the rear lower left with a metal cover and some wires coming out towards the front.
We would charge £136 inclusive for repairing it in London or Edgebaston. It does need about 200 mm clear access space to the left and under the boiler.
