Hi Again,
Recently I asked help on above subject (see my inquiries about this here :- http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=119853
After all your advices, eventually I found a young plumber in my area who quoted a very fair price, he undertook the work Mon 25th Feb & finished today Thu 28th at 13:00.
I have for many years been unlucky with workers, building, Plumbing, & Electrics, with all sort of problems.
BUT this young gentleman proved to be EXCELENT in every way, no hustle, no conning etc.
He chose to replace the CH header tank with a "Zilmet expansion vessel" with pressure gauge converting the system to "sealed".
Just for interest is it a better system this & why.
He used copper piping with soldered joints throughout, and used raffia string & paste instead of white tape, & put drain valves at each radiator.
With clever positioning of the 12 rads we had only 4 drops by the door hinges of room corners, easy to cover with narrow wooden boxes.
Thanx for your help, nick
BTW if anybody needs a good plumber in this area, let me know your particulars & I will inform him.
