CH & HW not working properly on Baxi Combi Instant 80HE!

Hi guys. Am new here but seeking advice. My boiler after 2 and a half years isnt functioning properly.

When I turn on the CH the 'flame' light comes on but after so long it goes off for about 10 seconds then back on again. It does the same for HW as well. Its always doing it now.

Before when I had CH on the 'flame' light would constantly stay on (obviously) keeping the radiators very hot, plus the same with the HW.

Just looking for an answer of whats wrong with it so can get it fixed asap as im certainly gonna need it with the cold nights drawing in.

Any help or advice would be very appreciated!

Check the condensate trap isnt blocked.....

Bottom right corner, clear container... If full both sides, thats your prob...

If not, seek engineer

Is that easy to do? Sorry im not that good with plumbing etc? Thanks for your quick reply btw!

Yes, its something you can check...

Take the cover of the boiler - 2 screws and lift up and clear... (only the outer white decorative one mind!)

Look to the right, next to the pump,
Clear plastic square trap..... if BOTH sides are filled with water then its blocked and is stopping the burner staying on....

Ok have taken the cover off and only 1 of the plastic sqaure traps has water in it (the one furthest away)

Not sure what to do next sorry.

Unfortunately the best I can recommend is to contact a gas engineer as further tests will require opening the combustion chamber.
Sorry about that, but as you can appreciate we cant condone DIY gas.

Yeah thats ok mate. I had a feeling it'd be something I coouldnt fix myself. Was just hoping there'd be an easy fix. It is all working at the moment just not at 100%, more like 75%!
