CH layout of cold fill and vent pipe

Thanks for the sundial stuff Kev, great if I want to spend a fortune on loads of controls just to save a few shillings on gas. however, it's my elderly relatives house, so every shilling counts and he won't be around long enough to see the savings (unfortunately)

put the pump in the flow connected as dia suggests

after the pump a tee one leg to cylinder with a balancing valve on return

other leg to heating thro mv

make sure cyl return is nearest boiler

not really the way to do it mind

building regs and stuff

Thanks Kevplumb, lucky you living in Tenesse! bet it gets hot there in summer don't it?

I'm happy to connect the pipes on the flow circuit as you experts suggest ie boiler, vent, feed, pump, cylinder tee, heating tee with valve in.

However, your advice seems to contradict the 'three Tee rule' where it states the cold feed goes closest to the back boiler on the return............is this rule out of date/not compliant with latest building regs/wrong?
